Who Can Apply (Eligibility Criteria)
Before applying, you need to check if you are eligible:
Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years
- For general candidates, your date of birth should be between January 2, 1992, and January 1, 2007.
- Relaxations apply for OBC, SC/ST candidates as per government rules.
Educational Qualification:
- You must have passed the 12th grade (+2 stage) or have an equivalent qualification.
- For jobs like Accounts Clerk or Junior Clerk, you’ll also need typing skills (either in English or Hindi).

How to Apply for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024

- Create an Account: Fill in your basic details to create an account. Remember, once created, some information (like your chosen RRB) cannot be changed.
- Complete the Application Form: Provide your personal details, educational qualifications, and choose your RRB zone.
- Upload Documents: You will need to upload your photograph, signature, and other required documents.
- Pay the Application Fee: Complete the fee payment online, depending on your category.

Application Correction Process
If you make any mistakes in your application, you can correct them between October 30 and November 6, 2024. However, you cannot change the information you provided during the account creation step, like your chosen RRB.
Exam Pattern
The selection process involves two stages of online tests (Computer-Based Tests or CBT):
1st Stage CBT: This is common for all positions.
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Questions: 100 questions (General Awareness – 40, Mathematics – 30, Reasoning – 30)
2nd Stage CBT: Only for those who pass the 1st stage.
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Questions: 120 questions (General Awareness – 50, Mathematics – 35, Reasoning – 35)
For PwBD candidates using a scribe, the duration is extended to 120 minutes.
